Finland is the land of good communications of high class. You can arrive by car, train or plane directly to Vaasa. The airport is situated about 10 kilometres from the city centre. Vaasa is a small town (58 000 inhabitants) at the coast where the distances aren't too depressing. All service takes place within a walking distance. You can, of course, consider hiring a bike, which gives you the possibility to get acquainted with the sights in your own tempo.
